Senior Housing Survey Respondents Pick Independent Living as Best Investment

Independent living facilities are the most attractive category of senior living for investors, according to Senior Housing News’ 2018 Senior Housing Outlook Report.

A third of respondents said they favored independent living for their investing dollars, followed by memory care at 24%, assisted living at 21% and active adult at 17%. Post acute/rehab and skilled nursing were further back, at 3% and 2%, respectively.

The survey, conducted in December 2017, polled 634 individuals about their feelings on investing in the senior living industry.
Overall, the results indicate increased optimism among senior housing owners and operators.
